Widely recognized as one of the premier cultural events in the Rocky Mountain West, the Jackson Hole Fall Arts Festival is celebrating its Silver Anniversary! Thousands of art enthusiasts are drawn each year to experience the diverse artwork and breathtaking natural surroundings that make Jackson Hole a leading cultural center. The 2010 Festival will take place September 9-19. Experience the world-class installments of contemporary, culinary, landscape, Native American, wildlife, and Western, arts. Visitors will appreciate the works of nationally and internationally acclaimed artists along with an exceptional array of music, cowboy poetry and cuisine. More than fifty events round out our eleven-day festival.
2010 Featured Artist Joseph Velazquez
Joe Velazquez' creative passion is the exploration of the human spirit, whether it is a by-gone moment in history or a snippet from yesterday's fare. His personal challenge begins as he envisions the role light, shadow and shade will play in the accurate depiction of the scene emerging from his canvas. The play of light is what causes the mystery of form and shadow to become a visual feast, an emotional experience. Velazquez' use of color depends on the ambiance of the story to be told. Sometimes his color usage is very bold and brilliant. Other times it is soft and monochromatic. The emerging story dictates the palette. 18th Annual Western Design Conference Exhibition & Sale
The world's preeminent exhibition of western furniture, home accessories and fashion, hosted by Teton Home and Living magazine, brings together artists, scholars, collectors, interior designers, architects and fashion designers with an interest in the West. 11th Annual Takin' It to the Streets
An open-air, juried art fair featuring 40 local artists, including some of Jackson's finest, selling an array of fine artwork. Presented by the Art Association of Jackson Hole.
Taste of the Tetons
Valley chefs, restaurants and caterers put their best culinary work on display for sampling. Also enjoy a wine tasting, silent auction, and "Pickin' in the Park" musical entertainment by The Jackson Hole Cowboy Jubilee.
Jackson Hole Cowboy Jubilee Concert
