This early winter month is a good time to experience the tail end of the shoulder season in Jackson Hole. It’s not uncommon to stumble across a great lodging deal or two-for-one dining special. With spring on the way, Jackson Hole tends to enjoy sunnier skies and warmer temperatures in March, perfect for those coming for Spring Break or some exceptional spring skiing. It’s also the month of events. Check out Dick’s Ditch Banked Slalom in early March. Racers fly down the gullied walls of this classic Jackson Hole run. The Snowmobile Hill Climb takes place at the end of the month and is unlike anything you’ve ever seen. Snowmobilers try their hardest and fastest to climb nearly straight up the steep slopes of Snow King. Watch out for toppling snowmobiles! And then there’s the ever great Jackson Hole Mountain Festival in Teton Village the weekend before Jackson Hole Mountain Resort closes. Enjoy some late season celebration and FREE live music!
