dick's Ditch Banked Slalom This Weekend in Jackson Hole!

Looking for some weekend excitement? The classic dick's Ditch banked slalom race is taking place this weekend at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. Watch skiers and snowboarders in a variety of competitive categories see who can get down the steep-walled gully of dick's Ditch the fastest! Saturday's qualifying run starts at 10:30am and the final run will happen on Sunday also at 10:30am. Don't miss this legendary springtime event. 2010 dick's Ditch Registration Now Open!

Jackson's one and only dick's Ditch is back for the 2010 season. The race will take place this weekend, March 5 - 7 at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort in Teton Village. Skiers and snowboarders make their way down the banked gully known as dick's Ditch from Lupine Way down to South Pass Traverse. Friday is an optional course inspection day. Prelims will be held on Saturday starting at 9:30. 70% of the field will advance onto Sunday's final round, which begins at 9:30. Pro divisions earn cash prizes of $600 for first place, $350 for second place and $150 for third place.

Men's/Women's Pro Ski
Men's/Women's Masters (ages 30+) Snowboard
Men's/Women's Masters (ages 30+) Ski
Men's/Women's Amateur (ages 20-29) Snowboard
Men's/Women's Amateur (ages 20-29) Ski
Men's/Women's Amateur (ages 14-19) Snowboard
Men's/Women's Amateur (ages 14-19) Ski
Groms (ages 11-13) Ski
Groms (ages 11-13) Snowboard

Registration is ONLINE ONLY this year through the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. If you're not planning on competing, at least make it to the sidelines to cheer on all of the racers who do! Only 150 spots are open for registration, which will close on March 4th or after 150 people have signed up.

7" and Sun Peaking Through the Clouds!

It's one of those glorious Fridays at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. The tram line is moving quickly, 7" of new snow has fallen in the past 24 hours, 18" has fallen in the past 72 hours and the sun is starting to make its way through the clouds. It's the perfect time of year to be skiing Jackson. And, sadly, we only have five more weeks left in our season so make sure to get out and enjoy it while you can! Head up tomorrow and watch skiers and snowboarders make their way down dick's Ditch Banked Slalom. Happy Friday and we'll see you on the hill!
