Jackson is a community that loves to give back. And there is one annual community event in particular that we philanthropically flock to: Old Bill's Fun Run. This classic Jackson event is one of the nation's most innoviate fund raisers, raising over $53.5 million in 11 years. The event raises money through large donations that are matched and then distributed back to local nonprofit organizations. $7,747,327 from 2,887 donors was distributed back to participating nonprofit organzations for use throughout the year.

This year's race will take place tomorrow, Saturday, August 13th from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in downtown Jackson. Registration is FREE prior to race day and $20.00 on race day. Only competitive racers will be timed and the top three finishers in each category will receive money to give to their favorite charity.

Participants can choose from 5-K, 10-K and 2-K fun run race lengths, with all races starting at Town Square in town. Start fall the Jackson way by being a part of this great community event for all ages.
