With the changing leaves comes the annual Fall Arts Festival to Jackson Hole. This renowned event started last Thursday and will go through September 21st. The festival draws thousands of visitors from all over the country to come and experience a variety of art installments, including visual, contemporary, culinary, Western, landscape, wildlife, and Native American arts. Art enthusiasts come to experience the works of nationally and internationally acclaimed artists and enjoy music, cowboy poetry and cuisine.
A few of this year's top events include:
Taste of the Tetons, (11am - 5pm on Saturday, 9/13): Area chefs, caterers and other culinary artists gather on Town Square to showcase Jackson's tastiest delights. Each taste ticket is $1.
13th Annual QuickDraw Art Sale and Auction, (10am, 9/20): Nationally, regionally and locally recognized artists gather on Jackson's Town Square to paint, sketch and sculpt as visitors watch. The one-of-a-kind artwork crafted during the one-hour period will be auctioned off. Open to the public.
21st Annaul Western Visions: Miniatures and More Show and Sale, (5:30pm - 9:30pm at National Museum of Wildlife and Art, 9/19): This is your opportunity to place your bid prior to the drawing that will determine who is going home with a new piece of fine art. The evening features hors d' hovers food and beverage and the names of the winning bidders are drawn. The Jewelry and Aritsan show and sale, the Photography show and sale, and the Fine Art Furniture show and sale will be on display and guests are invited to make purchases.
