That's right. We saw our first mountain dusting over the weekend when temperatures plummeted from the 80s and 90s down into the 50s and 60s, with a high of 30 in the evenings. After a Saturday and Sunday morning spent in the late summer sun, we woke up Monday morning to snow in the mountains. Although I'm sure we'll still have much more late summer and early fall to enjoy, it was a nice reminder that the 08/09 season is not far away.
The Bridger Gondola Webcam (above) shows the light white blanket clinging to the cliff walls. And lined up along the cliff band rim, you can see the finished tram towers. Tram construction continues to be on time with a scheduled inaugural departure of late December.
Although there's no more snow in the immediate forecast, we're taking this early showering as a good omen about the season ahead. For more information on winter deals and packages, click here.
