Grand Targhee Resort packs a punch when it comes to headlinging music acts. The 21st Annual Bluegrass Festival will take place August 8 - 10, but before that, the resort (located just outside of Driggs, Idaho) will do some "prefunking" with the 4th Annual Targhee Fest--a three day folk and bluegrass music festival. Emmylou Harris will headline this year's festival, with additional performers including Derek Trucks and Susan Tedeschi, Taj Mahal Trio, Lyle Lovett and Martin Sexton.
Food, vendors, games and on-site activities are always a part of a great Grand Targhee event and this one is no different. This family-friendly festival also offers tent camping at Grand Targhee and a free shuttle from Victor or Driggs ($5 parking fee for car otherwise or free parking for weekend passholders). Camping sites open at 9:00 a.m. and festival site gates at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, July 18th. Once again, Grand Targhee is throwing a festival that's not to be missed!
