Adding one more to the list of crazy, unusual and very well attended events in the greater Jackson area, Grand Targhee will host the 8th Annual Cardboard Box Derby this Saturday before closing for the season on Sunday.
That's right, get out the old boxes, paint, glue, string, tape and whatever else you feel might get you and your team (4 adults max) down the mountain the fastest, although don't neglect creativity. The more creative your craft, the more likely you'll be to go home with first place.
Registration is Saturday, April 12th from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. A panel of judges will rate each team for originality of craft, costumes and construction. Enjoy an apres ski party in the Trap Bar following the spectacle. For more information, click here.
And assuming you're not too banged and bruised from derby racing, make sure to make Closing Day at Grand Targhee on Sunday, April 13th. It's your last chance of this amazing winter to enjoy some resort skiing.
